Invite your friends and family to join us as well. Bring a blanket or chairs to sit on the lawn in our outdoor amphitheater.

Pray about supporting Lucy Miracle's school tuition of $500. All week, we're collecting monies in support of her and the Uganda Children's Sponsorship program. We'll have a raffle of fun items for those who choose to donate and help us reach our goal.

  • Arrive at 8:50am, meet your teachers on the patio and sign your child in on the clipboard for the fun to begin!

Today, the Adventure starts at the Tiny Caverns and learned Jesus, the Son of God came to earth as a baby boy.

Here's the main points from our lessons:

    • God’s Word will stand forever and guide us on the Epic Adventure
    • Jesus, the Son of God, was born in Bethlehem
    • John 8:12 teaches us that Jesus is light of the world and whoever follows Him will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life

Monday's memory verse: John 8:12 – Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”

  • Day 2 begins as we learn that when Jesus called his some of his disciples, he met some of them on the shores of the water. He also did much of his teaching when he was on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Jesus is the Son of God and also a Prophet who came to earth so people would know who God is and what He has done.

Here's the main points from our lessons:

    • At the beginning of Jesus’ ministry, he chose 12 men who were not perfect or who had done anything special to be His disciples
    • Jesus, the Son of God, is also the final Prophet who was sent by God to bring God’s word and hope to His people
    • Jesus performed many miracles to show that He was from God including the healing of the leper who believed the Jesus could heal his disease

Tuesday's Memory Verse: 1 John 5:11-12 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

  • Water and T-shirt making day! Please send your children in clothes (or swimsuits) which can get wet and messy. If you'd like to send a change of clothing, that is a good option for the kids to get out of their wet clothes after their time at Outdoor Play.

We will be tie-dying shirts and then sending them home in bags for you to wash on Thursday.

Day 3 takes place on Rocky Roads. The adventure of life is not always easy. We stumble and sin, but Jesus walked through life perfectly, and never sinned!

In the Old Testament, a priest was a person who entered God’s presence on behalf of the people of God. They spoke to God for God’s people, and they made sacrifices for them to pay the price for their sin. These were continual sacrifices which had to be made over and over. Jesus is our Great High Priest who is sitting at the right hand of God the Father continually interceding for us (Romans 8) and He made the ultimate sacrifice for us, through His own final (once and for all) sacrifice which rescued His people from death (Hebrews 5:7-9).

Here's the main points from our lessons:

    • A paralyzed man was brought to Jesus for healing by his friends who had faith in Jesus
    • We are stuck in our sin, which spoils and separates us from God
    • Jesus is the Great High Priest who goes to God to intercede for us and paid the ultimate sacrifice in our place

Wednesday's memory verse: Eph 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

  • Day 4 takes place on the Towering Mountains. Traveling through the mountains can be scary or challenging, but as we learn about our Savior, Jesus and the path he covered, we begin to see the great sacrifice He made for His children. Apart from the work of Jesus in His life, death and resurrection, no one can be saved or do anything to rescue themselves from the guilt of their sin. Only through faith in Jesus as their Savior, can anyone be restored into a relationship with the Father. Jesus’ saving work rescues His people from the penalty and power of sin and grants them eternal life.

Here's the main points from the lessons:

    • Jesus’ death was planned by God before the world was created
    • Jesus lived a perfect life and was an acceptable sacrifice to God
    • Jesus took the punishment we deserved as sinners against a holy and righteous God

Thursday's memory verse: 1 John 4:14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

  • Join us tonight, 7pm for the Closing Ceremony! Come hear about the week of VBS and celebrate God's Faithfulness together.

Today we visit the tropical jungle where the dense trees, warm sunshine and animals remind us of the adventure our lives will continue to have, even as part of the family of God. Jesus is the “Lord of lords” and “King of kings” and he will defeat all of His enemies (Rev 17:14). When Jesus ascended into heaven, He reigns as the ruler of His people. In addition, He sits and is over all rulers and eventually all will bend their knee to Him. Jesus will protect and defend His children, while conquering all of our enemies in a kingdom that will never end.

Here's the main points from our last lesson:

    • Jesus conquered sin and death by raising from the dead
    • The Holy Spirit will come into the lives of all those who trust in Him
    • One day, all of God’s children will live in heaven with Him forever

Friday's Memory verse: Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
